In Alexis Lichine's Wine Encyclopedia the Goldatzel vineyard is mentioned right next to the Schloss Johannisberg vineyard and the Hoelle & Vogelsang as the important ones next to the Schloss. Wines from this particular Johannisberg area in the Rheingau region are among the finest. This is rare Rose wine from the region, where most of the wines are white.
