CHATEAU LABALLE - VINTAGE ARMAGNAC

France

Although the grape varieties for Armagnac are similar to Cognac, a 'continuous' still is used which results in a lower proof strength and a more rounded, flavorful spirit. Bas Armagnac is the best of the region. Most Armagnac is blended, although a very small amount of vintage-dated brandy can be found. The old vintages (such as this 1973) have been aged in barriques from the famous "black oak of Monlezun", which has become scarce. This is a wonderful brandy with mouth-filling flavors of fruity, toasted complexity and rich caramel / vanilla notes.(Subject to availability) ARM85 ARM85
