Lomas de Castillo de Requena Tempranillo

The 2002 Lomas de Castillo Tempranillo is made entirely from Tempranillo grapes. Known as Tinto Roble, meaning aged in oak, this wine was aged for three months in French and American oak barrels. Tempranillo can be a tannic and angular wine if un-oaked, but the three months in oak barrels has given this wine a soft and round feeling that balances the wood with sweet fruit and vanilla flavors. With good tannic structure and a firm body, this wine will have no problem ageing another 3-4 years. CRTW02 CRTW02
