Paradise Ridge Estate Syrah Hoenselaars Vineyard

This is Paradise Ridge's first estate Syrah ... and it is indeed a mouthful, both in its structure as well as its nomenclature. It comes from the new Hoenselaars Vineyard, which is named after Dutch owner Marijke Byck-Hoenselaars (try saying that ten times in a row!). This small vineyard is situated on a steep, rocky hillside overlooking Lake Somapecare. It was handpicked in the early morning and the grapes were gently pressed and put into open top tanks. The winemakers submerged the cap, cool fermented the juice, and aged the wine in French oak for 10 months - a Syrah lovers dream! Only 200 cases made and it is like drinking silk. PRES01 PRES01
