Tudor Pinot Noir
The 2000 Tudor Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir is the inaugural release from Tudor Wines. By working closely with family growers and winemaking staff, Tudor insures that low yields combined with maximum grape maturity produced wine with optimal flavor profiles - a balance of ripeness, acidity, and tannins. The 2000 vintage was small in size and late in arriving, yet yielded some of the best wines since 1997. This Pinot Noir benefited in particular from these conditions. A "big" Pinot with plenty of fruit, Tudor shows what California Pinot noir can accomplish given the right terroir and crafstmanship.
