Ch Piganeau St Emilion Grand Cru
I have followed this Grand Cru of St. Emilion over the years. In poor vintages the wine is usually somewhat hard, but in an excellent vintage the wine's character shines through. Mr. Brunot produces only 1,300 cases of this wine that is grown on the banks of the Dordogne between the towns of St. Emilion and Libourne. Brunot uses 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet franc, and 5% Cabernet s. for his blend. This wine shows very ripe tannins with a touch of mint and eucalyptus, typical of the estate. It is a wine that is suitable for cellar aging. PIG01 PIG01
