The Matraaljai wine region is located in the northeast part of Hungary, close to the famous Egri district and is produced by the Egervin Estate. This wine is 100% Merlot from overripe grapes picked in November 2001. After a long fermentation on the skins, the wine was kept in oak barrels for 6 months before bottling. This luscious red wine has ripe, spicy aromas and fine sour cherry flavors. It is an excellent accompaniment to spicy foods such as Hungarian Goulash or similar hearty stews. EMM02 EMM02
