Khan Krum Chardonnay Barrel Selected
Bulgaria lays claim to the birthplace of winemaking, which has been consistently one of Bulgaria's principal agricultural activities. Although the Bulgarian's have been cultivating wines for more than 3,000 years, winemaking came to a halt when the Turks imposed Moslem rule between 1396 and 1918. Since winemaking as once again become an important part of Bulgaria's agriculture, Bulgarian winemakers have been making outstanding wines such as the Khan Krum Chardonnay. This wine has a perfumed nose of peach, pear, and spice with hints of vanilla and honey. The flavors are balanced with good texture followed by a bright, fruity finish. VPKW99 VPKW99
