Kreuznacher Paradiesgarten Riesling Gold Medal Eiswein

We were able to find this wonderful Eiswein on our trip to Weingut Korrell in the Nahe region in February. It was harvested on December 14th, 2001 at -10C with a must weight of 178 degrees Oechsle! Using a medieval calendar, the wine was baptized as "Johannnes." Using grapes with astounding quality, the Johannes has already grown in many dimensions. The nose has a wonderful aromas of exotice spices bound together with a marvelous filigree of acidity. It is young and lively on the palate with bright fruit acidity and mineral-enhanced fruity notes. The Johannes Eiswein is a full bodied grandiose wine that won a gold medal at the Federal Wine Exhibition. You can enjoy this wine with a rich dessert or enjoy it on its own.
