Viħa Tobia - Rioja Blanco

Oscar Tobia is a rebel in a very tradiion-bound region. His iconoclastic philosophy has allowed him to break the barriers of 'old' Rioja, inventing new wines along the way. Sr. Tobia decided to combine inovation with the greatest of traditions for this unique wine. He decided to use a local grape, Malvasia de Rioja - also known as Blanco Rojo, to make this delicious white Rioja. The grapes were picked from 50 year - old vines and went through cold maceration before fermenting in new American oak casks and spending another 5 months in American oak. The result is a full flavored wine with plenty of oak character. On the palate it is unctuous with noticeably ripe fruit and a toasty background. TOBW01 TOBW01
