Domaine Paquet Pouilly Fuisse
The town of Pouilly is at the foot of hills that form a bowl stretching around and above the village. Mr. Jean-Paul Paquet lives in what appears to be a nice 'suburban' home on a cul-de-sac in these hills. But underneath this little ranch home is a vast cellar carved into the hillside that houses his barriques and bottles of very fine Pouilly-Fuisse and Pouilly-Vinzelles. We find this to be one of the very best Fuisse's we have ever tasted with loads of delicious Chardonnay fruit and just the right touch of oak ... better than many Cote d'Or white Burgundies!!
